Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a patient scheduling professional to manage scheduling for Cardiology, Pulmonology, and Diagnostic Imaging. The role coordinates surgical procedures and provides patient instruction, answering calls, and ensuring a smooth, patient-friendly workflow.

Located in Omaha, NE, the role partners with surgeons, office staff, anesthesia, and nursing teams to schedule cases, pre-register patients, and maintain accurate demographic and insurance data in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–3 years in patient scheduling, insurance registration, or patient care delivery.
• Prior Surgical Technologist or Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Schedules cases and pre-registers patients in collaboration with surgeons and office staff.
• Ensures scheduling aligns with guidelines and blocks; communicates conflicts.
• Provides patient education materials and coordinates access to surgical services.
