Job summary

HCA Florida Broward Primary Care is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide clinical expertise and coordinate patient care, including CPT/ICD-10 coding and OR scheduling. You will ensure all procedure requirements are obtained and confirm with the facility.

Additionally, you will verify physician credentialing, coordinate provider and facility schedules, and maintain HIPAA compliance while supporting a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred (ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or doctors' office).
• BLS may be required as per practice standard.

Responsibilities

• Obtains CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information for treatment from staff.
• Determines OR time and coordinates scheduling with the facility, ensuring anesthesia coverage is arranged.
• Verifies physician credentialing at the center before scheduling.
• Coordinates provider clinic and facility schedules, including meetings and continuing medical education.
• Supports HIPAA compliance and adheres to Code of Conduct and ethics policies.
