Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a patient-focused Surgery Scheduler to join our team. You will be the first point of contact, scheduling surgical procedures, coordinating testing and pre-op visits, and supporting providers to ensure smooth patient care.

As a daytime, full-time role, you will obtain insurance authorizations, manage consent forms, schedule and adjust appointments, and help with billing, communications, and MyChart support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; proficiency in medical receptionist functions.
• No licensure required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent medical reception duties.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and manage consent forms.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversee provider schedules and input monthly calendars.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing.
• Assist with patient communications and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and day-to-day office operations.
