Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to be the first point of contact for patients and support providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings. You will help create exceptional patient care and ensure smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires about 1 year of related experience or equivalent training, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong communication skills for patient interactions and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering patient-focused service in a medical setting.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for scheduling and check-in/out.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and manages consent forms for procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversees provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.
• Collects payments and supports accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and day-to-day office operations.
