Job summary

Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Surgery Schedule Coordinator, RN for the Day Shift. You will plan, supervise, and coordinate all surgical scheduling activities for pediatric through geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Professional Nursing.
• Licensed by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS.
• 1 year experience preferred, or 3 years OR experience as a Circulator.
• Must use holistic approach to nursing care.
• Must demonstrate competency in basic nursing skills.
• May seek advancement in the clinical area by meeting approved educational degrees, educational certifications or national certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, directs and coordinates all activities pertaining to the surgery schedule for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
• Coordinates activities of surgical schedule with other departments to promote continuity.
• Monitors and evaluates safety standards for compliance by nursing personnel.
• Assumes responsibility for professional activities.
