Responsibilities

• Schedule all surgical procedures.
• Obtain insurance authorization for surgical or diagnostic procedures.
• Coordinate physicians' surgery schedules to prevent delays.
• Explain surgical procedures to patients and answer questions from patients/families.
• Obtain patient signatures on required forms.
• Schedule pre-op dates/times with pre-admit.
