Job summary

CARSON VALLEY HEALTH seeks an RNFA per diem to perform RNFA responsibilities in collaboration with the surgeon and health care team, ensuring safe operative outcomes. The role emphasizes tissue handling, exposure, instrument use, suturing, and hemostasis as part of intraoperative care.

Candidate must hold an NV RN license, CNOR and BLS/ACLS; CRNFA is preferred after eligibility. Per diem status updates hourly rate by 15% and no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Must complete an RNFA program meeting AORN Education Standards.
• Current NV Nursing license required and CNOR certification preferred.
• CRNFA certification preferred after eligibility; BLS/ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform RNFA responsibilities in accordance with NV Nurse Practice Act and AORN guidance.
• Demonstrate RNFA skills: tissue handling, exposure, instruments, suturing, hemostasis.
• Assist in all surgical specialties as directed by the surgeon; pre/post-operative education as designated.
