We are looking for:

Surgery Veterinary Credentialed Technician

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment, perfect for technicians seeking training in multiple facets of the department and interaction with other hospital teams. This role requires strong communication skills to liaise between surgeons and clients and to deliver post-operative care instructions.

What you’ll do:
  1. Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
  2. Fill medications, enter charges, and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments.
  3. Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations.
  4. Prepare patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing, and positioning; assist with intubation and radiographs.
  5. Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork.
  6. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
  7. Open, turn over, and clean operating rooms, as well as clean instruments and wrap packs.
Compensation:

This position has an initial hiring range of $30.25 to $44.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.

Who are you:
  • State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
  • Prior veterinary experience required; previous surgery experience desired.
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.).
  • Flexible with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
