Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Group in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Surgery Procedure Coordinator to orchestrate surgical procedures and provide comprehensive patient support. You will schedule physicians, ORs, anesthesia, equipment and staff, communicate with the patient and physicians, and manage pre/post‑operative information and insurance authorizations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience coordinating operating rooms, equipment, anesthesia, pre-op labs, imaging, authorizations, and physician schedules for surgeries.
• Ability to effectively interact with insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operating rooms, equipment, anesthesia, pre-op labs and imaging, authorizations, and physician schedule for surgeries.
• Act as a liaison between patient, provider/referring physician, primary care physician, and other parties involved in the surgery/procedure to distribute pre and post-operative information.
• Gather and record financial and insurance information and ensure authorizations are obtained prior to the procedure/surgery.
• Complete full patient registration in IDX when registering new patients and verify insurance eligibility/benefits.
• Utilize IDX per policy for patient registration, scheduling, forms, payments, reconciliation, and downtime procedures.
• Provide additional clinic support to ensure clinic is running effectively.
