Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) is seeking a Surgery Procedure Coordinator in Gilbert, AZ. You will orchestrate surgical procedures, coordinate ORs, staff, equipment, and information, while ensuring pre/post-op communication and insurance authorizations.

Responsibilities include patient registration in IDX, liaising with patients and providers, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Prior experience and IDX familiarity are valued for effective patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience coordinating operating rooms, equipment, anesthesia, pre-op labs, imaging, authorizations, and physician schedules for surgeries.
• Ability to effectively interact with insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operating rooms, equipment, anesthesia, pre-op labs and imaging, authorizations, and physician schedule for surgeries.
• Act as a liaison between patient, provider/referring physician, primary care physician, and other parties, distributing pre and post-operative information.
• Gather and record financial and insurance information and ensure authorizations are obtained prior to procedures.
• Complete full patient registration in IDX and verify insurance eligibility/benefits.
• Utilize IDX system for patient registration, scheduling, forms printing, posting payments, and reconciliation.
