Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a dedicated PSQI Coordinator to lead patient safety and quality improvement activities within a designated service.

You will partner with PSQI leadership to develop strategic plans, coordinate data collection, and manage quality initiatives enhancing patient care outcomes. The role requires collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to promote safety and clinical effectiveness, with opportunities to present results and educate

Qualifications

• Education: A diploma, certification or degree is not required.
• Certifications/Professional Licenses: The list below may include all acceptable certifications, professional licenses and issuers. More than one credential, certification or professional license may be required depending on the role.
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Missouri DPR, Registered Nurse - Illinois DPR
• Work Experience: Nursing (2 Years)
• Skills: Not Applicable
• Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
• Current Missouri and/or Illinois RN licensure depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates data collection and tracking of patient safety and clinical effectiveness.
• Manages, implements, analyzes, and presents results of quality improvement projects.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to promote a culture of safety and enhance clinical effectiveness.
• Reviews quality and patient safety data to identify high-risk areas and coordinates with clinical teams to develop improvement plans.
• Participates in Patient Safety and Quality meetings at division and department levels.
• Shares best practices with other PSQI professionals.
• Provides staff education on RMS for improving patient safety and quality outcomes.
