Job summary

SSM Health Monroe Clinic Hospital is seeking a Surgery Support Technician to assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing indirect patient care and unit maintenance in the Operating Room.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (or 10 years of related work experience) and BLS HCP certification within 90 days. Full‑time schedule with 32 hours weekly and day shifts support efficient perioperative operations.

Qualifications

• BLS HCP certification required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Stock operating rooms daily according to PAR levels; ensure proper equipment for scheduled cases.
• Restock warmers and restock supplies; manage inventory with central supply.
• Assist with cleaning and sterilizing instruments and anesthesia equipment; transport items as needed.
• Maintain unit efficiency by cleaning ORs between procedures and supporting PACU areas.
• Support patient handling and communication with OR leadership to ensure smooth workflow.
