Job description

Locums - Colorado Springs, Colorado, Neuroendovascular Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role:

• Open Dates:
• August 4 (7a) - August 8 (7a)
• August 15 (7a) - August 21 (7a)
• All of October - December is open
• Ongoing coverage will be 10-11 days per month
• Provider must be available to cover the open August dates above
• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7AM - 7AM)
• Facility is preferably looking for a Neurosurgeon with endovascular capabilities
• Provider must be able to perform thrombectomies and clippings to avoid patient transfer
• Must be able to provide Open Cerebrovascular and Neuroendovascular coverage
• Heavy surgical emphasis
• Will not accept a Neurointerventional radiologist
• Patient population: 100% adults
• Case mix: 50% trauma
• Inpatient: 100%
• Hospital-based patients per day: 0-5
• Support Staff: Dedicated CNS for the practice M-F Day shift. General Neurosurgery APPs available at night for staff questions. New consults handled by a call neuroendovascular surgeon.
• Procedures: Comfortable with open endovascular procedures; most done in the interventional/cath lab
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
• Requirements: Board Certified in Neurological Surgery (ABNS), NES - Required
• Active CO license or IMLC - Required
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), DEA - Required
• COVID vaccinated - Required
