Located 45 miles to Kingsport, this position is J1/H1 visa eligible. Candidates should have general bread-and-butter surgery experience and advanced laparoscopic skills; minimally invasive skills are a plus.

• Service area serves 75,000 to 100,000 people across southwestern Virginia and southeastern Kentucky
• Supports a local primary care network of 10 physicians for patient referrals

• Goal to find a surgeon aligned with the Medical Group’s philosophy of providing care locally, avoiding patient transfers outside the area

• Board eligibility required; certification must be obtained within five years of residency completion

About the Medical Group

The facility recently invested $12 million in a new surgery project with four state-of-the-art operating rooms. A $16.5 million renovation includes updates to the ER, cardiopulmonary services, radiology, diagnostic technology, EPIC EMR, and new entrances. As the largest healthcare provider in the coalfield region, the hospital offers a wide range of services including surgery, OB/GYN, pulmonary and critical care, rehabilitation, and more.
