General Surgeon job opportunity in Caribou, Maine - Located in Northern Maine - near the Canadian border - 200 miles from Bangor, ME.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, professional liability insurance, CME reimbursement, relocation assistance, and education loan repayment if applicable. Additionally, an annual allowance is provided for licensing, DEA registration, professional society memberships, and journal subscriptions. The practice participates in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment program.
Specialists available include urology, general surgery, ophthalmology, neurology, hospitalists, and occupational medicine. Access to outpatient clinics for cardiology, pulmonary, hematology/oncology, endocrinology, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatric cardiology/nephrology/gastroenterology, podiatry, rheumatology, diabetes counseling, and nutritional therapy. The role involves growing the practice by providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient care and maintaining effective communication with primary care and specialty physicians, including coordinating patient transfers to tertiary centers as needed.
