Job summary

Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute in Leawood, KS is seeking a Surgery Day Porter to clean between surgical cases in our 8 operating rooms. Fast-paced environment with lifting and waste handling; team-based work with OR nurses, techs, and physicians.

Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; six major holidays off; PTO accrues immediately. Experience in hospital environmental services is a plus, but motivated individuals will be trained.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and to follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect operating rooms between surgical cases.
• Remove waste and soiled linen; restock PPE and surgical scrub supplies.
• Support other areas within the department of surgery as needed.
