Job summary

Florida Eye Specialists in the Jacksonville area is seeking a Surgery Coordinator to guide patients through the surgical process, from education to scheduling pre/post-operative visits. You will assist patients as they prepare for surgical treatments, ensuring a warm and supportive experience.

No experience is required for this role, as we are willing to train the right person. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (ophthalmology preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with patients and staff in a courteous, professional manner.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Coordinator is committed to guiding the patient through the surgical process in a warm and comforting manner. They support the patient journey throughout the surgical process, from education, scheduling surgical and pre/post-operative visits, and assisting the patients while preparing for surgical treatments.
