Job summary

Florida Eye Specialists in the Jacksonville area is seeking a Surgery Coordinator for Fleming Island. The role guides patients through the surgical process, from education to scheduling pre/post-operative visits.

No experience is required – training provided. The candidate should have good communication, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Benefits available after probation.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (ophthalmology preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with patients and employees in a courteous, professional manner.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of one year in a similar role preferred.

We are looking for dedicated Surgical Coordinators for our rapidly growing practice!
The Surgical Coordinator is committed to guiding the patient through the surgical process in a warm and comforting manner. They support the patient journey throughout the surgical process, from education, scheduling surgical and pre/post-operative visits, and assisting the patients while preparing for surgical treatments.

No experience necessary – Willing to train the right person!

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
