Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners seeks a Surgery Coordinator to manage scheduling for surgical and pre-operative procedures in a busy ophthalmology setting. You will guide patients through surgery, eye drop regimens, and post-operative care, coordinating information with surgical facilities.

The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a high volume of appointments while maintaining professional service standards.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a surgical specialty practice (ophthalmology preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of meeting high volume of patient surgical scheduling.
• Demonstrates computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient surgical and pre-operative appointments, including those with the patient’s optometrist.
• Counsel patients regarding all aspects of surgery including eye drop instructions and post-operative instructions.
• Collects all pertinent information for upcoming surgery (bookings, insurance, H&Ps, signed consent forms) and transfers to surgical facility.
• Runs accurate calculations as required (e.g., LASIK).
• Answer all telephone inquiries from patients and Shared Care doctors concerning surgery and related concerns.
• Assist in the daily functions of the operating room for surgical cases.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
