EyeCenter of Texas, part of EyeSouth Partners, seeks a Surgery Coordination Manager to lead the surgery coordination team, optimize scheduling workflows, and ensure top-tier patient experience across all sites. The role combines leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on coordination in a busy ophthalmology practice.

You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, manage pre-op testing and insurance authorizations, and collaborate with surgeons and clinical leadership to deliver seamless

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Surgical Scheduler/Coordinator or equivalent; ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Experience with EHR software; Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of contracted insurance plans and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to travel to all practice locations as necessary.

Responsabilités

• Lead the surgery coordination team and oversee scheduling workflows.
• Coordinate pre-op testing, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Manage insurance authorizations and patient financial discussions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and EMR entries for all cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, ASC/hospital partners, and clinical leadership.
• Mentor staff, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize patient flow.
• Attend Surgical Center meetings and support cross-functional initiatives.
