The Surgery Center Coordinator is responsible to make sure the parents' questions are answered and that they understand the benefit of completing the suggested treatment.Title: Surgery Center CoordinatorReports To: Surgery Business ManagerPosition Status: Full-timePay Range: $22 - $25/hourLocation: All KCDO locations - HybridThe Essential Job ElementsCall new patient consults two days in advance to make sure they received all information and answer any questionsPrepare all insurance benefit information for each patient prior to the visitGreet family in a polite and professional mannerProvide consultation in a separate area giving parent privacy and opportunity to ask questionsMake all financial arrangements per company guidelinesSet up initial treatment appointmentFollow up on all scheduled treatments and advice doctors of statusReview schedule daily, weekly and monthly and use grides to fill open treatment timesCommunicate weekly with the CPMO about any scheduling concerns (i.e. consults back log, shortage of appointments)Communicate with doctors on a regular basis about any important developmentsSubmit pre-authorizations if applicableThank non - Kid's Care Dental doctors for referralsMaintain confidentiality of business and patient informationPerform other duties/assignments as needed by Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics.The ScheduleThe typical surgery center schedule is Wednesday - Friday, 6:30AM - 3:30PM, with some Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. This position requires availability to work at least 2 Saturdays per month. The office hours and schedules may vary by location and business need.
