Job description

Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery

Board Certification: Required - Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery (CAQ)

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Licensure: Active Virginia license required (no licensing wait)

Experience Required: Minimum 36 months

Start Date: June 1, 2025

Assignment Duration: Ongoing

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (Clinic/OR) + 24-hour call (after hours & weekends)

Setting: Inpatient

Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Call Requirements: Yes, after hours and weekends

Charting System: Epic

Procedures Required:

• Cardiac: CABG, redo coronary revascularization (with/without valve surgery), arterial revascularization
• Aortic: Descending aortic aneurysm repair
• Thoracic Endoscopy: Flexible/rigid bronchoscopy, thoracotomy, lung resections, pneumonectomy, chest wall resection/reconstruction, mediastinal surgery
• Vascular: Cardiac vascular procedures

Support: Robust clinical team

Credentialing: 90 days (temporary privileges available)
