A leading hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking a BE/BC Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon to join a dynamic team. The role offers opportunities in advanced heart failure surgery, including heart transplants and VADs. Hospital is seeking a BE/BC Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon with an interest in advanced heart failure surgery, including Heart Transplant, Ventricular Assist Device, and ECMO. The candidate will join a busy, six-member, hospital-employed practice providing a full spectrum of vascular, thoracic, cardiac, and advanced heart failure surgeries. The applicant will join a large, dynamic, multidisciplinary group comprising cardiology and cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons. Our system offers comprehensive invasive and non-invasive cardiology and surgical care. We are a CMS-accredited Heart Transplant Program, a Joint Commission-certified destination LVAD program, and operate an active ECMO program.
Service Line Offerings Include: TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, and others.
Surgical services include: VADs, Transplants.
Clinics cover: Advanced Heart Failure, Amputation Prevention, Aneurysm Care, AFib, Cardiac Devices, Lipid Care, Pulmonary Hypertension, Structural Heart & Valve, Cardiac Oncology, and Vascular Medicine.
Advanced Imaging within the cardiac service line includes: 3D Echo, Nuclear, Cardiac MRI, and Cardiac CT.
Research opportunities are available within our dedicated research organization.
Our facilities include 4 Cath Labs (2 Hybrid Labs for structural heart procedures) and 2 EP labs. We utilize Cerner EMR with Lumedx Cardiac PACS. The role allows tailoring key responsibilities to your strengths.
