Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Surgery and Burn Clinical Pharmacist to join our Fort Worth team. This role supports medication distribution, provides clinical pharmacy services, and contributes to patient safety and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring accuracy of work, and ongoing professional development within a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy required
  • PharmD required
  • CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
  • PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required
  • 3 years hospital experience or completion of residency preferred
  • PGY1 residency completion highly preferred
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills

Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
  • Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
  • Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work hours

Hours: 40-hour rotating shifts must work every 3rd weekend
