Job summary

Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician I PRN to support inpatient care. You will prepare medications, coordinate delivery to nursing units, and ensure accuracy while maintaining inventory and documentation.

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent, RPhT upon hire, and strong English and computer skills; sterile IV certification and inpatient hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire required.
  • Sterile IV Certification highly preferred.
  • Prior inpatient hospital experience highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English, computers, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including the use of technology where appropriate.
  • Ensuring accuracy of one\'s own work as well as maintaining required competencies and documentation.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth, leading by example, managing time effectively.
  • Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and model teamwork; trains new employees on routine tasks.
  • Share responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
