Job summary

St. Charles Health System invites qualified Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join the Surgical Specialists team across Bend, Redmond, and Prineville.

The role includes acting as a first or second assistant in general, bariatric, colorectal, and robotic procedures, with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Candidates must hold an approved PA or NP degree and Oregon licensure, with hospital rounding experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with hospital rounding.
• Preferred: General Surgery first assist; Bariatric and Robotic surgery experience.
• Unrestricted Oregon PA/NP licensure or eligible for licensure in Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Acts as First or Second Assistant during surgical procedures as directed by the physicians.
• Performs patient examinations, orders and interprets tests, documents findings.
• Orders and performs medical and surgical procedures in accordance with state law and guidelines.
• Maintains EMR documentation and supports accurate billing.
• Provides patient and family education regarding medications and treatments.
