Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Surgery to assist in general, bariatric, colorectal, and breast operations using open, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches. The APP will provide inpatient and outpatient care with daily rounds and post‑op care.

You will perform exams, order tests, educate patients, document in EMR, and participate in weekend call with surgeons. The role requires full-time commitment and active surgical privileges.

Qualifications

• Provides first or second assistance during general surgery procedures.
• Performs patient examinations and collects relevant history.
• Orders and interprets labs and imaging as part of care.
• Delivers post-operative Instructions and discharge summaries.
• Maintains and reviews patient records in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Participates in inpatient and outpatient care under physician supervision.
• Communicates with patients, families, and staff effectively.
• Maintains CME for board certification and privileges.
