Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, seeks a Surgeon-Scientist, Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

The candidate will lead an independent clinical and research program, mentor faculty and trainees, and build collaborative initiatives across the institution. The role requires an MD (or DO) and/or MD/PhD with BC/BE in Otolaryngology, a strong publication and funding history, and ability to obtain Pennsylvania

Qualifications

• M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent.
• BC/BE in Otolaryngology.
• Track record of robust research, publication and funding.
• Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Run an independent research program and clinical practice.
• Mentor faculty and trainee researchers.
• Develop collaborative programs within the Department and Institution.
• Grow the Department's research and grant portfolio.
