Origin Travel Nurses seeks a Travel Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Perioperative Services team in Saint Johnsbury, VT. This 13-week contract offers a 40-hour week with days, Monday through Friday, and potential on-call opportunities in a community hospital setting.

You will support surgeons and the perioperative team, ensuring sterile technique, instrument readiness, and patient care before, during, and after procedures in a beautiful Northeast Kingdom location.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Previous operating room experience.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.
• Ability to participate in call coverage and respond within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures.
• Support perioperative patient care, including patient transport, positioning, specimen management, and documentation.
• Participate in on-call coverage and be prepared to scrub urgent or emergent procedures within required response times.

Work alongside experienced surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff to provide exceptional care in a community-focused critical access hospital. As a vital member of the surgical team, you will contribute to delivering safe and compassionate care before, during, and after surgery.
