ARMStaffing is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract in the United States. The role is in the Operating Room, ensuring equipment and supplies are available, sterile, and ready for procedures, while anticipating the surgeon's needs.

Candidates must hold CST, Level 2 Trauma experience, and NBSTSA and BLS certifications, with experience across Orthopedic, Vascular, Neuro, General/Gyn, and Urology procedures; travel work is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - REQUIRED
• Level 2 Trauma Experience - REQUIRED
• Proficient in Orthopedic, Vascular, Neuro, General/Gynecological, and Urology procedures - REQUIRED
• Active American Heart Association BLS Certification - REQUIRED
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years - REQUIRED
• Current skills checklist pertinent to the Operating Room - REQUIRED

• Verify items on the physician preference card and maintain accountability for supplies to ensure accurate patient billing.
• Utilize and assemble equipment and disposables properly, managing cleaning and sterilization processes.

• Set up the sterile field efficiently, keeping accurate accounts of medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps per policy.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week, with a call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month.

Job Description

The surgical technologist will fill a critical role in the Operating Room, demonstrating a solid understanding of surgical procedures and ensuring that all supplies and equipment are available and in working condition. This role requires anticipating the needs of the surgeon and maintaining a sterile environment throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities

• Active NBSTSA Certification - REQUIRED
