Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room in Orangeburg, SC. Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, with on-call duties including weekday shifts and weekends every 4 weeks. This is a 13-week contract assignment.

You will assist with procedures, maintain sterile field, and document care using the Epic charting system, across General, Robotics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gynecology, Eyes and Urology specialties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Certification: NBSTSA and BLS current.

Responsibilities

• Ensure infection control protocols and universal precautions are followed.

Job Description

As a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room, you will be responsible for assisting with surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and sterile supplies are ready, and maintaining a sterile environment. The position encompasses various specialties, including General Surgery, Robotics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gynecology, Eyes, and Urology. You will document patient care accurately, utilizing the Epic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and universal precautions.
• Utilize the Epic charting system for all documentation related to surgeries and patient care.

Required Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist is required. First-time travelers will be considered if they have experience in all required areas.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• South Carolina Surgical Technologist license (pending applications may be accepted with proof of submission).
• A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency.
