ARMStaffing is seeking a Travel First Assist (Operating Room Technician) for a 13-week contract in Florida. Responsibilities include assisting in surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and rotating across campuses as needed to support multiple surgical units.

Qualifications required include a Certified First Assist or Certified Surgical Assistant, mandatory BLS, and CST experience is preferred (RNFA accepted).

Days (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM and/or 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with call).

Job Description

Operating Room Assistants, also known as Surgical Technologists or Operating Room Technicians, support surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other members of the surgical team. Their duties include ensuring the operating room is clean before, during, and after surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as directed by the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure that all necessary equipment is ready for use.
• Float between campuses as needed to provide support across different surgical units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certified First Assist or Certified Surgical Assistant required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• CST experience is preferred, but RNFA will also be accepted.
