ARMStaffing is seeking a Surgical Services Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Napa, CA. The RN will provide preoperative and postoperative care and support a range of surgical procedures across specialties in a dynamic OR setting.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years' surgical nursing experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification, with NBSTSA or related specialty credentials considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Surgical Services Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic operating room environment. The role encompasses a range of responsibilities including preoperative and postoperative care, as well as assisting with various surgical procedures across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties, including General, Urology, GYN, Orthopedics, Neuro, and Robotics.
• Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the surgical process and recovery.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are prepared and functioning properly prior to operations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical nursing experience required.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred certifications: NBSTSA and relevant surgical specialty certifications.
• Experience with Community Hospital settings and various surgical procedures is preferred.
