Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room. The role requires prior scrub experience or completion of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program, with day shifts and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program or previous Surgical Technologist experience required.
• Anatomy and physiology classes preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Attends mandatory in-services as specified by the hospital.
• Maintains CPR certification; Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub technologist duties for scheduled surgeries in the Main Operating Room.
• Assist with draping and instrument utilization for each procedure.
• Maintain sterile technique and sterilization procedures.
• Support clinical ladder advancement opportunities.

Job Description

Fulltime Day Shift, 6:45am - 3:15pm, Plus Call -- Previous surgical technologist experience REQUIRED and/or completion of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program REQUIRED -- The Main Operationg Room Surgical Technologist performs “scrub” technologist duties for scheduled surgeries in the Main Operating Room, and assists with the draping and utilization of instruments for a particular surgery and age of the patient serviced. Demonstrates knowledge in the basic principles of sterile technique and sterilization procedures. Clinical ladder advancement opportunities available.

Education

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program and/or have previous Surgical Technologist experience REQUIRED.
• Completion of Anatomy and Physiology classes preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Attends JCAHO, OSHA, and hospital/nurse manager-specified mandatory in-services.
• Obtains four contact hours in area of interest.

Licensure/Certification/Registry

• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience in multiple surgical specialties is preferred.

Pay Transparency

$25.72 - $39.86 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
