Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for an on-site, weekend-only role in our Level 1 Trauma Center operating room. The position runs Saturday and Sunday 7am–7pm, with one additional weekday shift and minimal call requirements.

A $25.72–$39.86 hourly pay range is provided, with incentive participation possibilities. Candidates must have completed a Surgical Technologist program or have equivalent experience, CPR certification, and be open to ongoing in-services.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program and/or previous Surgical Technologist experience required.
• Anatomy and Physiology coursework preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Attends mandated in-services (JCAHO, OSHA, hospital manager-specified).
• Obtains four contact hours in area of interest.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties for scheduled surgeries in the Main Operating Room.
• Assist with draping and instrument utilization for a given procedure.
• Maintain basic sterile technique and sterilization procedures.
• Clinical ladder advancement opportunities available.

Role Details

This is a Full Time Weekend Only Surgical Technologist position Hours: 7am-7pm Saturday and Sunday, w/one additional day shift during the week Call Requirements are minimal: 4 hours every 2 weeks.

Responsibilities

Previous surgical technologist experience and/or completion of a Surgical Technologist program is REQUIRED

The Main Operationg Room (Level 1 Trauma Center) Surgical Technologist performs “scrub” technologist duties for scheduled surgeries in the Main Operating Room, and assists with the draping and utilization of instruments for a particular surgery and age of the patient serviced.

Demonstrates knowledge in the basic principles of sterile technique and sterilization procedures.

Clinical ladder advancement opportunities available.

Education

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program and/or have previous Surgical Technologist experience REQUIRED.
• Completion of Anatomy and Physiology classes preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Attends JCAHO, OSHA, and hospital/nurse manager-specified mandatory in-services.
• Obtains four contact hours in area of interest.

Licensure/Certification/Registry

• Maintains current CPR certification
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in multiple surgical specialties is preferred.

Pay Transparency

$25.72 - $39.86

Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
