Job summary

Memorial Health in the United States is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist First Assist for an on-site, full-time role with four 10-hour shifts (6:15am–4:45pm) and call. The position requires CT surg tech/First Assist experience or completion of a Surg Technologist program, plus BLS CPR and sterile technique expertise.

A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available. Benefits include PTO, 401(k) match and health/dental/vision options.

Qualifications

• Completion of two year Surgical Technologist Program preferred.
• Certification as a surgical technologist and first assist preferred.
• BLS CPR required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a cardiothoracic senior surgical technologist or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub and first assistant duties for scheduled surgeries in CVOR.
• Assists with draping and instrument utilization for surgeries.
• Maintains sterile technique and sterilization procedures.

Previous Surgical Technologist or First Assist experience and/or completion of a Surgical Technologist program is REQUIRED

This is a Full Time Position - four 10-hour shifts per week (6:15am - 4:45pm), Plus Call The Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist First Assist performs "scrub" and first assistant duties for scheduled surgeries inCVOR and assists with the draping, and utilization of instruments for a particular surgery. Also knowledgeable in the principles of sterile technique and sterilization procedures. Education

• completion of two year Surgial Technologist Program preferred
• completion of Surgical Technologist First Assist Program
• High School graduate or equivalent required

Licensure/Certification/Registry

• Certification as a surgical technologist and first assist is preferred.
• BLS CPR required.

Experience

• Minimum of one year experience as a cardiothoracic senior surgical technologist or equivalent experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed above average performance requirements of cardiothoracic senior surgical technologist through prior experience in that role.

• Environmental working conditions include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue, contagious diseases and/or radioactive or other potentially hazardous materials.

Pay Transparency $37.43 - $58.02 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
