Job summary

Prefix-Corporation is seeking an experienced worker for painting preparation and finishing tasks. The role includes grinding, sanding, buffing, masking areas, and repairing surfaces to achieve the required finish.

Responsibilities also include moving painted articles to and from the paint booth, polishing finished surfaces, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. A minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in paint/body repair is required, with a diploma or GED and a preferred trade school

Qualifications

• Requires background in paint and body repair with at least 1 year hands-on experience.
• HS diploma or GED required; trade-school certificate preferred.
• Must be self-starter with time budgeting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform prep work before/after painting including grinding, sanding, buffing.
• Mask off areas not to be painted; fill cavities/dents as needed.
• Move articles to/from paint booth and finish surfaces by polishing.

Perform preparation work prior or after painting such as grinding, sanding, buffing. For parts not painted, mask-off areas not to be painted.Fill cavities and dents as necessary and surfaces repaired area to attain required finishCleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted using solvent, sandpaper and wire brushMoves painted articles from preparation area to and from paint boothFinish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax or other materialsMaintain clean and safe work environmentPerform other tasks as assigned or approved by the supervisorBackground in paint and body repair with a minimum of 1 years hands-on experience.A High School or GED equivalent required. A certificate from an accredited technical or an industrial trade school is preferred.Needs to be a self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time.Incumbent must possess basic hand tools for the position and upgrade such tools as required to complete the tasks assigned.
