Job summary

Core Services Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mid-Grade and Senior Damage Control Engineer/SME with Navy surface platform experience to support CNSP’s RATT in San Diego, CA. The role involves direct training, material assessments, and leadership with Navy sailors and ship staff.

Ideal candidates have extensive shipboard DC supervisor experience and recent operational experience, with a requirement for a Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years of supervisory experience in ship damage control analyses, information systems, or project implementation.
• Experience as shipboard Damage Control supervisor on multiple surface ships.
• Direct operational damage control experience within the last five years with Navy practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ship training visits to improve Sailor proficiency in ship systems operation and maintenance.
• Develop training resources and curricula for ship systems and maintenance programs.
• Provide deckplate training and leadership to ship's force and RATT personnel.
• Conduct material condition assessments of equipment, systems, and ship structure.
• Advise leadership on crew proficiency, condition, and maintenance practices.
