Job summary

I I Stanley Company, Inc., a leading automotive lighting supplier in Battle Creek, Michigan, seeks a Surface Mount Technician for the 2nd shift to operate SMT line, load components, and maintain quality. You'll perform changeovers, keep the work area clean, complete production documents, and assist with preventive maintenance on SMT equipment, with weekend and daily overtime as needed.

High school diploma with technical training is preferred; two years in automotive electronics manufacturing and

Qualifications

• Two (2) years in automotive electronics manufacturing.
• PCB manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of basic electronics and PCB assemblies.
• Ability to learn and operate technical equipment independently.
• Must be available for weekend and daily overtime.
• Internal candidates are required to have under 3.00 attendance points.

Responsibilities

• Run the surface mount technology line and load components.
• Keep a clean and well organized work area.
• Complete production related documents.
• Make changes to machinery to accommodate different products.
• Visually inspect boards to ensure quality.
• Safely perform cleaning, changeover, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on surface mount equipment.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for running the surface mount technology line and loading components


• Keep a clean and well organized work area


• Complete production related documents


• Make changes to machinery to accommodate different products


• Visually inspect boards to ensure quality


• Safely perform cleaning, changeover, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on surface mount equipment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two (2) years in automotive electronics manufacturing


• PCB manufacturing experience


• Understanding of basic electronics and PCB assemblies


• Ability to learn and operate technical equipment independently


• Must be available for weekend and daily overtime


• Internal candidates are required to have under 3.00 attendance points.

OPTIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Five (5) years of automotive electronics manufacturing with experience in surface mount technologies


• Excellent problem solving and organization skills


• Ability to troubleshoot and performs repairs on SMT equipment independently


• Good communication skills, teamwork, and attention to detail


• Understanding of advanced electronics


• Ability to troubleshoot PCB assemblies to component level

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma and Technical, mechanical or electronics training
