I I Stanley Company, Inc. in Battle Creek, MI is hiring a Section Manager Engineering to lead the development and implementation of coating and assembly processes, ensuring on-time product launches with quality and cost targets.

You will oversee tooling, equipment, and process improvements across manufacturing teams. The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical or related) and at least four years in a managerial or equivalent capacity, plus hands-on experience in coating/assembly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering or related field) or equivalent foreign degree.
• Four years in a related managerial role or similar position.
• Experience with coating and assembly process programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with jigs/fixtures and assembly equipment build.
• Experience in manufacturing defect resolution and corrective action.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate procurement, development, and implementation of equipment, tooling, and processes to launch new products on time while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Develop and optimize processes to achieve desired cycle time and yield.
• Generate cost estimates using cycle times, run ratios, yields, and tooling/equipment costs; maintain long-term capacity plans and plant layouts.
• Source new machinery and tooling as needed.
• Apply technology advancements to improve production capability and establish robust coating/assembly processes.
• Review drawings and tooling to propose improvements for productivity, quality, and safety; create standard documentation to support customer and quality-system requirements.
• Communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams; provide support and complete tasks or projects as assigned.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for coordinating the procurement, development, and implementation of equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes to launch new products on time while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Develop and optimize processes to achieve required cycle time and yield
• Generate cost estimates using cycle times, run ratios, yields, and tooling/equipment costs; and maintain long-term capacity plans and plant layouts to anticipate capital needs.
• Source new machinery and tooling as needed
• Identify and apply technology advancements to improve production capability, and establish robust coating and assembly processes – including programming, troubleshooting, process layouts, operator movement, and cycle times.
• Review drawings and tooling to recommend improvements that increase productivity, quality, and safety, and create standard documentation (process diagrams, FMEAs, flow charts, trial reports, and related records) to support compliance with customer and quality-system requirements.
• Communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, provide support to other groups as needed, and complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor – Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree

Experience: Four (4) years in the position above, Professional Staff or a related managerial role.

Experience must include:

1. Coating and assembly process programming and troubleshooting;

2. Jigs/fixtures and assembly equipment build;

3. Manufacturing defect resolution corrective action.
