Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Groton, CT is seeking a sandblast operator to prepare and clean metal castings in accordance with quality standards. Under general supervision, you will adjust equipment, inspect parts, log materials and ensure paperwork matches.

Qualifications

• Requires use of shop math and measuring instruments.
• 6 months of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts equipment to obtain optimum running condition.
• Inspects own parts for surface distortion and imperfections.
• Loads blast material of proper size in all machines.
• Maintains equipment in a safe manner.
• Demonstrates ability to log on main computer system and forward inventory data.
• Performs sandblast, shot blast or chemical cleaning of castings.
