Job summary

Physical Electronics USA Inc. is seeking a Staff Scientist to provide technical expertise in surface spectroscopies, perform instrument demonstrations, lead training sessions, and contribute to product development and marketing materials.

The role focuses on XPS, AES, and SIMS technologies and involves communicating complex results clearly to customers. The successful candidate will have advanced degrees with hands-on spectroscopy experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science or a master’s with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Hands-on experience with XPS instrumentation.
Knowledge of AES and/or SIMS is a plus.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

Operate surface-analysis instrumentation and interpret results.
Prepare demonstration reports communicating analytical results and instrument strengths.
Provide on-site instrument training at customer locations and tailor materials.
Develop marketing materials for the surface-analysis product line.
Support software testing and sales tender documents.
Represent PHI by attending and presenting at scientific conferences.
