Job summary

Liberty Mutual invites talented students to join our Surety Underwriting Internship, a focused 11-week program blending finance, risk assessment, and relationship management. You’ll work with experienced underwriters, gain hands-on exposure to bonding processes, and participate in formal training and mentoring.

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business, with at least one semester remaining after Summer 2027, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and US work authorization

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or comparable with at least one semester remaining following Summer 2027 and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• 0-2 years of professional experience.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiating skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters in financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Learn how surety bonds support economic growth and infrastructure projects.
• Develop relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in structured training, mentorship, and job-shadow opportunities.
