Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking an Assistant Surety Underwriting professional to provide administrative and underwriting support for a national surety organization in Indianapolis, IN. This role will involve processing bonds and updating internal systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Hybrid work arrangement requires onsite presence 3 days per week, with a focus on accuracy and efficient handling of transactions. Prior experience in surety or P&C insurance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience supporting complex transactions; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in Surety, Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, underwriting support, or insurance operations is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and underwriting support to agents, clients, and underwriters.
• Process new bonds, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and related transactions.
• Enter bond information, rates, codes, and supporting documentation into internal systems.
• Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
