Philadelphia Insurance Companies is seeking a Surety Underwriter II to join our team in either Seattle, WA or West Linn, OR. The role involves underwriting and marketing assigned products with intermediate risk assessment and technical underwriting expertise.

A typical day includes supporting regional marketing, gathering and analyzing information to evaluate risk, possibly evaluating credit quality, and preparing proposals for producers.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least three years of contract surety underwriting experience.
• AFSB designation preferred.

Mansioni

• Underwrites and markets assigned products with intermediate risk assessment.
• Assists with marketing activities within the region to promote new business.
• Gathers and analyzes information to evaluate risk acceptability.
• Prepares underwriting submissions and makes recommendations within authority limits.
• May evaluate credit quality and ensure credit quality of accounts.
• Participates in the producer management process including premium collections.
