Job summary

IAT Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Account Manager in Naperville, IL to provide day-to-day customer service and support to underwriters, agents, and principals. The role acts as a liaison to ensure client needs are met, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office Mon–Wed and remote Thu–Fri.

Responsibilities include processing renewals, endorsements, audits, and non-renewals, maintaining files, and coordinating with underwriters and agents.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing customer support or customer service; Surety experience.
• Basic accounting experience.
• Knowledge of underwriting support processes and procedures, basic mathematics and problem solving.
• Strong keyboarding skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of associates and external sources.
• Authorized to work in the United States and not require visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
• Prepare account service-related documents and other client communications and correspondence.
• Process renewals, reviewing for accuracy and requesting changes as needed.
• Process endorsements and audit transactions with agents and underwriters.
• Process non-renewals and cancellations.
• Review all company correspondence for client relevance.
• Maintain bond/account files per procedures.
• Establish and maintain relationships with underwriters and agents.
• Respond to internal information requests.
• Prepare, submit and test IT programming requests.
• Prepare and audit monthly reports.
• Develop professional skills through continuing education and industry knowledge.
• Assist in training other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

IAT Insurance Group Surety Business Unit has an immediate opening for an Senior Account Manager in our Naperville, Illinois location. This role will provide overall day-to-day customer service and support to Underwriters, Agents, Principals. Acts as a liaison between the organization and clients, working closely with both entities to ensure needs are met.

This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

Responsibilities

• Enters new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
• Prepare account service-related documents and other client communications and correspondence.
• Processes renewals, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.
• Processes endorsements and audit transactions through communication with agents and underwriters.
• Processes non-renewals and cancellations.
• Reviews all company correspondence to ensure applicability to client needs.
• Maintains bond/account files in accordance with established procedures
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
• Answers and processes internal information requests.
• Prepares, submits and tests IT programming requests.
• Prepares and audits various monthly reports.
• Improves/refines professional skills through continuing education and maintaining familiarity with industry trends and standards.
• Assists in training of other employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must Have

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing customer support or customer service. Previous Surety experience.
• Basic Accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Underwriting support processes and procedures, basic mathematics and problem-solving techniques.
• Strong keyboarding skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
• To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.

Preferred to Have

• Bachelors Degree
• 2+ years underwriting support experience
• Knowledge of AS400 and OnBase systems preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation

Please note, that the annual hourly rate associated with this posting is $19.94/Hour - $43.40/Hour. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
