IAT Insurance Group Surety Business Unit in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring an Associate Account Manager. This role provides day-to-day client service and acts as liaison between clients and underwriters/agents.

Role is hybrid: in-office Mon-Wed with Thursday/Friday remote options. Growth in underwriting support and account management is supported within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic Accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Underwriting support processes and procedures, basic mathematics and problem-solving techniques.
• Strong keyboarding skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
• Authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
• Prepare account service-related documents and client communications.
• Process renewals and changes as requested.
• Process endorsements and audit transactions with agents and underwriters.
• Process non-renewals and cancellations.
• Review correspondence to ensure it meets client needs.
• Maintain bond/account files per procedures.
• Establish and maintain relationships with underwriters and agents.
• Answer internal information requests.
• Prepare and audit monthly reports.
• Assist in training of other employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

IAT Insurance Group Surety Business Unit has an immediate opening for an Associate Account Manager in our Scottsdale, Arizona location. This role will provide overall day-to-day customer service and support to Underwriters, Agents, Principals. Acts as a liaison between the organization and clients, working closely with both entities to ensure needs are met.

This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Enters new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
• Prepare account service-related documents and other client communications and correspondence.
• Processes renewals, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.
• Processes endorsements and audit transactions through communication with agents and underwriters.
• Processes non-renewals and cancellations.
• Reviews all company correspondence to ensure applicability to client needs.
• Maintains bond/account files in accordance with established procedures
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
• Answers and processes internal information requests.
• Prepares, submits and tests IT programming requests.
• Prepares and audits various monthly reports.
• Improves/refines professional skills through continuing education and maintaining familiarity with industry trends and standards.
• Assists in training of other employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic Accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Underwriting support processes and procedures, basic mathematics and problem-solving techniques.
• Strong keyboarding skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
• To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.

Preferred to Have:

• Bachelors Degree
• 2+ years underwriting support experience
• Knowledge of AS400 and OnBase systems preferred but not mandatory.
