Job summary

Jobtailor in Illinois is seeking a qualified bonding professional to manage daily bond requests, coordinate with underwriters, and ensure timely issuance and delivery of bonds. The role requires strong surety experience, excellent communication, and meticulous client service.

You will handle high-volume, detail-oriented tasks, support escalations, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive surety solutions and reliable service to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong surety experience in a risk management or brokerage capacity.
• P&C license required, or ability to obtain.
• Working knowledge of insurance coverages is a plus.
• Experience handling complex surety/bonding requests and escalations with minimal oversight.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with underwriters and internal stakeholders.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented work.
• CPCU, ARM or other insurance designations are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage clients’ daily bonding needs, including receipt and review of bond requests.
• Facilitate information exchange between clients and underwriters.
• Ensure timely approvals, issuance, and delivery of requested bonds.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and underwriters.
• Manage challenging issues and surety-related matters, leveraging Client Advisory resources when necessary.
• Manage bond issuance, modifications, renewals and cancellations.
• Handle invoicing, collections, electronic files, database management, and related administrative service delivery activities.
• Provide a high level of client service.
