Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a supervisor for the Training and Education Design (TED) team at our Milwaukee facility. The role leads a group, coordinates instructional design, and serves as a principal trainer certified in Epic modules.

Approximately 25% of time is spent on people management, with the rest delivering training, orientation, staff development, and continuing education for hospital staff. Masters degree preferred, Epic certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• This role requires five years of related experience and extensive adult education experience.
• Supervisory experience and instructional design background are preferred.
• Experience with Epic training and education design is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

This position is directly responsible for supervising one of the groups within the Training and Education Design (TED) team, including assignment of work, monitoring of performance, conducting performance reviews, recruitment, hiring, taking disciplinary action when needed, assisting with monitoring of and adherence to the department budget t, assisting with development and documentation of department job standards, goals, and strategies. The supervisor is lead on many initiatives, is EPIC certified and is a principal trainer. Coordinates and participates in the needs assessment, instructional design, implementation and evaluation of orientation, staff development and continuing education relevant to hospital staff. They assist in the development and maintenance of a master plan to promote the professional development and engagement of end users and operational partners. This position reports to the TED team manager.. Approximately 25% time will be spent in people management, the remaining time will be working as a trainer.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of five years related experience and extensive adult education experience is required. Prior supervisory experience; prior instructional design experience is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelor's degree in related field is required. Masters Degree in a related field is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Functional strategic planning process appropriate for education within the healthcare industry. Principles of supervision and training. Budgeting and fiscal management. Effective project management. Familiar with e-learning development tools preferred. Ability to teach others. Strong leadership skills.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Certification as either an Epic Principal Trainer or Analyst in Epic module is preferred.

Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $34.82 - $59.56. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
