Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a dedicated nursing leader to oversee clinical nursing services at a Raleigh-area facility. You will supervise staff, model professional standards, and ensure quality patient care across inpatient units, with emphasis on crisis management, assessments, and patient safety.

Responsibilities include staffing oversight, staff development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to maintain compliance, environmental safety, and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• One year of progressive management/supervision experience.
• Current NC RN license, NC driver’s license, CPR and CPI certifications.

• Provide administrative and clinical responsibility for functioning of nursing services for the facility.
• Provide leadership and role modeling for assigned staff; supervise direct patient care, nursing management, assessments and crisis management.
• Ensure environmental safety for the patient population.

• Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
• Knowledge of milieu management.
• Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
• Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.
• Ability to safely implement treatment procedures.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation
